Kill a Tree to Preserve our Paperless Society?
Have you ever noticed that if you own a computer, the whole world assumes you have a printer? Actually, I have two. One is out of ink, and it would cost less to buy a new printer than to buy new ink cartriges. Literally. The other one goes to an old Color Computer (That's circa TRS-80, folks) and even if it had a computer around it could talk to, would STILL need a new ribbon. (Yup, ribbon. This was before ink cartridges.) I do not, obviously, have a working printer. My question is, if the whole damn world runs via internet, which is, among other things, supposed to do away with all the paperwork and save the trees, WHY does everything I do online seem to want me to kill a tree for a printout? Hmm?
